The ShivteYah Farm · Bat Shlomo, Israel is a home for Jewish holistic medicine — a living return to the healing wisdom carried in the Torah, the Talmud, the Rambam, and the masters of Tzfat.
A Jewish vision of refuah
In the Jewish tradition, healing is never only of the body. The Rambam taught that to be well one must order one's eating, sleeping, breathing, and emotions; the Baal Shem Tov taught that joy itself is medicine; the Sages of the Talmud knew the healing properties of olive, hyssop, and balm. We weave these strands together in one daily practice: refuat haguf, refuat hanefesh, and refuat ha'aretz — the healing of body, soul, and land.
A village steeped in story
Bat Shlomo is one of the oldest moshavot in northern Israel — a small village in the Menashe hills, surrounded by olive groves, oak forests, and fields of wild za'atar. In a restored stone farmhouse here, we built the center: a place for treatment, Torah, and quiet.
Rooted in partnership
We work in close partnership with Holy Land Herbs, a small organic herb farm cultivating biblical and medicinal plants of the region, and with To Work and To Guard — a non-governmental organization devoted to la'avod u'lishmor, the first command given to Adam in the garden. Together we plant fruit trees, restore soil, and create sanctuary for both wildlife and human beings. Fruit Trees 4 Israel serves as our partner for diaspora donors.
For all who come
Our practice is shaped by Torah, halacha, and the cycles of the Jewish calendar. Our practitioners are trained in Jewish sources alongside their clinical disciplines — herbalists, somatic therapists, Jewish spiritual directors, mashpi'im, and chaplains. We welcome Jews of every background, and any seeker drawn to the depth of this tradition.
